more about Kaitlan

Hey, I’m Kaitlan!

I am a publishing professional with a Bachelor of Communication and Professional Writing and a Bachelor of Letters (Creative Writing).

I’ve spent nearly 10 years running my own personal book blog, @loadsofbooks, on Instagram. Through this platform, I’ve had the privilege of working with publishers and authors, promoting their work to a wide audience of readers. Alongside my blog, I’ve worked in Sales and Project Management roles in publishing and am now the Acting Manager of Green Hill Publishing, based in South Australia. We specialise in true self-publishing but also delve into the traditional and hybrid publishing space.

Noticing a gap in the market for local ghost writers with hands-on industry experience, I decided to start my own ghost writing and editing business, focusing on non-fiction genres like memoir and self-help. Books and words have always been my escape, and I even had the chance to discuss this in an interview with Frankie Magazine, Feel Good Volume 4.

I live with my fiancé and our two cats, Sally and Seppi. We’re currently building our first home together, complete with my very own library space (eek I am sooo excited)! While continuing to support other authors, I’m also working on my own romance novel and have many ideas floating around for some non-fiction work. My debut non-fiction book, The Little Book of Big Book Marketing Tips published by Green Hill Publishing was released in early 2024, and I’m currently working on a prequel.

As for my reading tastes, I love diving into romance novels by authors like Emily Henry, Sally Hepworth, and Elsie Silver—they provide a much-needed escape and excitement from everyday life.
